Assurity's President and CEO elected Forum 500 chairman

Nov. 7, 2011 – Thomas E. Henning, CLU, ChFC, CFA, chairman, president and CEO of Assurity Life Insurance Company was named chairman of the Forum 500 section of The American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI) on Oct. 16 at the ACLI Annual Meeting in Orlando, Fla. The Forum 500 section consists of small to medium-sized companies, which are members of the ACLI. Henning was also appointed to serve as a member of the Executive Committee of the ACLI Board.

The American Council of Life Insurers is a Washington, D.C.-based trade association with more than 300 legal reserve life insurer and fraternal benefit society member companies operating in the U.S.

Henning receives top volunteer service award

Oct. 28, 2011 – Tom Henning, Assurity president, chairman and CEO, received the University of Nebraska Foundation’s top volunteer service recognition—the Perry W. Branch Award for Volunteer Service—on Oct. 28 in appreciation of his longtime dedication to the nonprofit. Read more.
